The following are the judge’s comments from the 2008 Dr. Kleeman Prüfung:

Marianne, Mr. Helmut Klotz, and Claudia after the 2008 Dr. Kleemann examination in Germany

Field: This strong female shows us in all search courses a space seizing work in a constant gallop and always with perfect head attitude, always adapting to the cover. She shows us clearly the hunt practice and shows us that she will search and find. Each small smell is briefly indicated and at each turn the dog turns correctly into the wind. The entire search is coined shaped and largely independent with best contact to the leader who must support neither by voice or whistle. An excellent work which is fair for a Kleemann examination. In very windy conditions she skillfully knew to block and point a pheasant running in the dip. During the shot she is obedient without influence of the leader.

Water: At the water work the picture repeats itself. Totally independent, without influence from the leader, she searches at first the bank edge strips and the water always into the wind with calmness and high passion. The swimming trace from the duck she finds soon and presses the duck skillfully on the water surface. After the shot the duck was retrieved without problems. An impressive field and water work. Congratulations on the KS!

Claudia is a strong hunter with intense game drive. She is a very quite and affectionate dog that is a pleasure to be around. She covers open fields thoroughly and is extremely easy to manage in the field. In dense cover (Dry Creek) Claudia is thorough and relentless in her search. She is not detoured by the brush, thorns, or when she must cross or enter the water to continue her search.
