The following are the judge’s comments from the 2008 Dr. Kleemann Prüfung: |
Field: A strong, substantial dog of the medium size, shows a very far, well-planned and very independent search, which she does almost without commands. The dog takes up each scent momentarily pointing before moving on. One search turns out however somewhat uncontrolled and too far. She stands before the pheasant firmly. When the bird is flushed she remains firm through the shot until released to continue the search. She completed all field work with a score of very good (4’s). |

Field: The search of this dog is elegant, in the jump quickly and covers much ground, one of the finest uses of the nose in a coined/shaped search. In all search courses she finds directly the game, with certainty she points the game with a very high nose. The use of the nose captivates in each search course. When pointing on hares and pheasants the dog without influence from the leader shows absolute obedience. The field work corresponds to international requirements. Retrieving of the feather game from cover is correct. Nose 4h, Pointing 4h. |
Dagobert vom Hege-Haus was one of the main breeding dogs used by Mrs. Stramann. Rosemarie KS vom Hege-Haus successfully pasted her Derby, Solms, VGP, and the Kleemann examinations with all “4’s”. Rosemarie completed the Kleemann at 33 months of age. Atlanta vom Hege-Hof is from the first Hege-Hof litter after the DKV closed the Hege-Haus Zwinger name for a ten year period following the death of Mrs. Stramann. |
